Enhancement of personal safety in loco static area during high voltage operation
The objective of this project is to enhance the security and safety of the static testing area inside the premise of Madhepura Electric Locomotive Pvt Ltd where the locos run at 25 kV. The high voltage operation requires a lot of safety protocols to be in place as per the RDSO guideline so that the any threat to human life can be avoided at all cost.
Technical blueprint:
Each of the static lines are provided with invidual PLC that senses the presence of loco at the platform, the open & close status of rolling shutters, walkway gates and sliding doors using photo proximity sensor and limit switch. If the running condition is deviant from the prescribed one, the PLC triggers a microcontroller based junction box that sends pre defined dynamic audio signals to the public address system. The conjunction of 25 kV running status in different lines is also displayed in wireless LED matrix boards.
The conditions of all these sensors that are monitored by the PLC is integrated with the AI based test track visualisation system which reads the memory coils of the PLC and displays that in real time. These are further rendered in the visualisation system for all users to see the live status from their desk.
